Frequently Asked Questions

  • Working with me means your travel is thoughtfully curated, not crowdsourced. You benefit from:

    • Expert curation and time savings: No endless research or generic lists, just recommendations designed around you.

    • VIP perks and preferred access: Through Fora’s partnerships, including Virtuoso, Four Seasons, Rosewood, and more, you may receive upgrades, daily breakfast, resort credits, and priority service.

    • Best value: I have access to all available rates, promotions, and partner perks across 170,000+ properties.

    • Personalized support: I’m with you throughout the planning process and available if anything changes while you’re traveling.

    • Insider insight: From trusted on-the-ground partners to advisor-only knowledge, you get guidance you won’t find online.

  • Not at all. In many cases, you actually end up saving more. I have access to the same rates you see online, plus preferred partner perks like complimentary breakfast, upgrades, resort credits, and added value that you wouldn’t get booking on your own. You also save time, avoid costly mistakes, and have an advocate if plans change.

  • For most trips, there is no planning fee at all. For complex trips involving multiple destinations and moving parts such as hotels, cars, tours, trains, flights, restaurant reservations etc., I may charge a planning fee. This covers detailed itinerary design, coordination, and ongoing support. Fees, if any, are always discussed clearly upfront before any work begins.

  • Getting started is easy. Simply reach out via email or the Contact form here. We’ll schedule a call and talk through where you’re thinking of going, the type of trip you’re planning, your travel dates, and your budget. From there, I curate personalized options that match your style and priorities, and once we align, I take care of the logistics so you can focus on the excitement of your upcoming trip.

  • Just about everything. Resort vacations, safaris, honeymoons, group trips, city escapes, cruises, business travel, multi-day tours, weekend getaways, villa rentals, and more. If you can dream it, I can help plan and book it.

  • Yes. If you booked independently and not through another travel agent, I may be able to take over your reservation. A booking takeover allows me to support your trip, monitor details, and in many cases, add perks, all while you keep your original booking.

  • The internet and AI tools can give you information. I give you judgment, access, and accountability.

Search engines can show you options, but they can’t tell you which hotel room actually feels special, which experience is worth the splurge, or how to shape a trip so it flows effortlessly. They don’t know your pace, your people, or what this trip truly means to you.

What you get from me is a human who has been there, built relationships, and understands how travel works behind the scenes. I bring preferred access and VIP perks you simply won’t get clicking around online. I know who to call when something changes, how to advocate for upgrades, and how to fix things when travel doesn’t go as planned.

I also take responsibility. If a flight is delayed, a room isn’t right, or plans shift mid trip, you’re not on hold with a call center or refreshing search results. You call me. I handle it.

And finally, I design experiences, not itineraries. Anyone can book a hotel. I help you see the world differently, notice the magic you might otherwise rush past, and come home changed in ways no algorithm can plan for.

    That’s the difference.

  • Totally fair, and honestly, I love that you enjoy the process. A lot of my clients do.

If you love researching, you don’t need to give that up. Think of me as an upgrade, not a replacement. You can do the dreaming, the browsing, the deep dives, and I step in to refine, validate, and elevate what you’ve found.

What I add is perspective and access. I help you cut through what looks good online versus what actually delivers. I know which hotels quietly overperform, which ones photograph well but disappoint, and how to shape a trip so it flows instead of feeling packed or rushed. I also bring preferred perks and upgrades that don’t show up in search results.

And then there’s the safety net. If something changes, goes sideways, or needs a quick decision while you’re traveling, you’re not troubleshooting it yourself. You have someone who knows your trip, your priorities, and how to fix things fast.

So if you love planning, keep doing it. I’ll make sure it’s smarter, smoother, and more rewarding.

  • Great question. When I book hotels or cruises for you, there is typically no booking fee. The hotel or cruise line pays me a commission after you travel, not you.

  • I can’t book hotels using credit card points, but I can help you maximize your points for flights through a concierge partnership with point.me. If you’d like help navigating award travel, just let me know.

  • Yes, there are several ways you can book flights with me, depending on what you’re looking for:

    Fora Flights Desk
This is a concierge-style service, ideal for premium air. You also get access to a 24/7 support team in case of delays or travel disruptions. It supports:

    • International business and first class airfare originating or ending in the US or Canada, including domestic first class connections
    • International premium economy originating or ending in the US or Canada
    • Select domestic US or Canada premium economy or business class flights that operate as a true separate cabin
    • Economy tickets when traveling on the exact same flights as a ticketed premium cabin passenger, for example if parents are in business class and kids are in economy

Flights booked as part of a vacation package
When flights are bundled with a hotel, cruise, or all-inclusive stay through one of Fora’s many partners, I can book all cabin classes. For example, a St. Lucia all-inclusive package that includes airfare.

    Standalone flights
If you would like me to manage your flights separately from a package, I’m happy to do that across all classes of service for a small planning fee. This works well if you want everything handled end to end.

Just let me know which route feels right for you, and I’ll guide you from there!
